Adisa Naja: The Mature Forward Making Waves at Mumbai Leopards
Interviewer: Adisa Naja, thank you for joining us today. Let's dive right in. You've had an exceptional career so far, and your recent form with Mumbai Leopards has been no exception. How do you manage to maintain such high levels of performance at the age of 36?
Adisa Naja: Thank you for having me. Well, it's a combination of factors. Firstly, I take my career very seriously, both on and off the pitch. I invest a lot of time in training and working on my skills. Secondly, I've been lucky to have coaches who appreciate my work ethic and have pushed me to become better. And lastly, I believe in the power of letting loose once in a while. It helps me maintain a healthy balance and keeps the passion for the game alive.
Interviewer: That's fantastic to hear. Speaking of health, you've been known to power through injuries and concussions. How do you manage to keep going despite these setbacks?
Adisa Naja: (laughs) Well, my body is more of a ruin than a temple, I must admit. But I've always had a high pain threshold and a burning desire to play the game I love. I believe it's the adrenaline and sheer determination that keeps me going, even in the face of adversity. Of course, it's not always the best approach, and I don't recommend it for others, but it's just the way I am.
Interviewer: Interesting. Now, let's talk about your favorite aspects of the game. Which is your favorite club to play against, and why?
Adisa Naja: Ah, that would be COB. The matches against them are always intense and exhilarating. It's a fierce rivalry that brings out the best in both teams. Plus, the atmosphere is electric, and I love playing in front of passionate fans. It's a great challenge, and it's always a treat for the spectators.
Interviewer: And what is your favorite formation and style of play?
Adisa Naja: My favorite formation is definitely 3-5-2. It allows me to use my skills effectively, both as a forward and as a team player. As for play style, I have a fondness for defending. There's something satisfying about intercepting passes and breaking up the opponent's attack. Of course, scoring goals is equally thrilling, but defending is where I feel I can make a real impact.
Interviewer: That's great to hear. Now, let's shift our focus to Mumbai Leopards. Your team is currently ranked 4th in the league. How do you plan on pushing your team further up the table this season?
Adisa Naja: Our aim is to keep improving and giving our best in every match. We're a strong team, and we have the potential to climb higher in the rankings. It's just a matter of staying focused, working hard, and capitalizing on our strengths. We have a great group of players, and I believe we can achieve great things together.
Interviewer: Lastly, before we wrap up, could you share a random interesting fact about your life?
Adisa Naja: Well, one interesting fact about me is that I'm an avid collector of vintage football jerseys. I have a vast collection from different eras and clubs around the world. It's a hobby that keeps me connected to the history and beauty of the game.
Interviewer: That's fascinating! Thank you so much for your time, Adisa Naja. Best of luck for the remainder of the season with Mumbai Leopards.
Adisa Naja: Thank you. It was my pleasure.
