Barts Hospital Goalkeeper Khadijah Black Talks Player Development and Sacrifice

Interviewer: Khadijah, thanks for joining us today. Let's start with your thoughts on player development. What do you look for in a club when it comes to that?

Khadijah Black: Well, I really like clubs that invest a lot in their players. It's important to have a coach and staff that are dedicated to helping you improve your game. And of course, having good facilities and equipment is crucial too.

Interviewer: You've been in excellent form this season. What do you attribute that to?

Khadijah Black: Honestly, it's all down to hard work. I'm always looking for ways to improve my game, whether it's through training or analyzing footage. I have high standards for myself and I'm always pushing myself to be better.

Interviewer: It sounds like you have a very strong work ethic. Do you ever find it difficult to balance your football career with other aspects of your life?

Khadijah Black: Absolutely. Football is my top priority, and I'm willing to make sacrifices for it. I don't have much of a social life outside of the game, but it's worth it to me. I want to have a long, successful career and I know that means putting in the work now.

Interviewer: What about your health? You've mentioned that you place a lot of importance on taking care of your body.

Khadijah Black: Yes, that's something I take very seriously. I try to eat well, get enough sleep, and avoid things that could hurt my performance. It's not always easy, but it's a necessary part of being a professional footballer.

Interviewer: Finally, can you tell us a bit about your favorite club to play against?

Khadijah Black: That would have to be SLB. They always bring their A-game and it's a real challenge to play against them. But I love the competition and it helps me improve as a player.

Interviewer: Thank you so much for your time, Khadijah. Before we go, can you share a random interesting fact about your life?

Khadijah Black: Sure, I'm actually a trained nurse. I worked in the medical field for a few years before focusing on football full-time. It's a completely different world, but I loved being able to help people in a different way.
