BBZ Defender Savea Bengtson talks about the importance of team chemistry and culture
Interviewer: Savea, you've mentioned before that you appreciate when clubs invest in their team chemistry and culture. Can you elaborate on that a bit more?
Savea Bengtson: Definitely. I believe that a strong team culture and chemistry can really help a team perform better on the pitch. When you have a group of players who truly believe in each other and enjoy playing together, it shows in the way they play. It's not just about individual skill, it's about how well the team can work together.
Interviewer: That makes a lot of sense. So, how do you try to contribute to that team culture and chemistry on BBZ?
Savea Bengtson: I try to be a positive influence in the locker room and on the pitch. I'm always trying to encourage my teammates and help them out whenever I can. I also think it's important to have some fun together, whether that's hanging out off the pitch or doing team activities. It helps us bond and get to know each other better.
Interviewer: Speaking of the pitch, you haven't had a chance to play yet this season. How are you feeling about that?
Savea Bengtson: Obviously, it's frustrating to not be able to play. But I'm trying to stay positive and focus on getting better every day. I'm doing everything I can in training to show the coaches that I deserve a spot on the team. I know that when my chance comes, I'll be ready to give it everything I've got.
Interviewer: That's a great attitude. What do you think sets you apart as a player?
Savea Bengtson: I think my work ethic is my biggest strength. I'm always pushing myself to improve and I never give up. I sacrifice a lot to be a footballer - I don't have much of a social life outside of the game - but it's all worth it to me. I love the game and I want to be the best I can be.
Interviewer: Well, it sounds like you're definitely dedicated to your craft. One last question - do you have a favorite formation and play style?
Savea Bengtson: My favorite formation is probably a 4-3-3. As for play style, I like to be a bit more neutral. I think it's important to be versatile and adaptable on the pitch. I'm comfortable playing defensively or pushing up into the attack if needed.
Interviewer: Interesting. Thanks for taking the time to talk with us today, Savea.
Savea Bengtson: No problem, thanks for having me. Oh, and one random fact about me - I used to be a competitive chess player before I got into football.
