Exclusive Interview with Alberta SC Forward Terina Kalani
Reporter: Terina, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Let's start by talking about your recent exceptional form on the pitch. What do you attribute this success to?
Terina Kalani: Thank you for having me. I think my recent form can be credited to my experience and maturity as a player. I may not be the most skillful or the hardest worker, but I know how to get the job done when it counts.
Reporter: Your practice ethics have been described as average, with a tendency to prioritize fun over hard work. How do you balance enjoyment with maintaining peak performance on the field?
Terina Kalani: It's all about finding that balance. I believe that it's important to have fun and enjoy the game, but at the same time, I understand the importance of meeting the expectations of the club and performing at my best. I try to put in the work necessary to stay competitive while still enjoying myself.
Reporter: Despite your less-than-ideal healthiness and aging body, you continue to power through injuries and concussions. How do you manage to stay on the pitch despite these obstacles?
Terina Kalani: I've always had a high tolerance for pain and a strong will to compete. I know that my body may not age well, but I'm willing to push through the challenges in order to continue doing what I love.
Reporter: You have mentioned that your favorite club to play against is SLB. Can you tell us why that is?
Terina Kalani: Playing against SLB is always a challenge, and I thrive in those high-pressure situations. It pushes me to perform at my best and brings out a competitive edge in me that I enjoy.
Reporter: Lastly, can you share an interesting fact about your life off the pitch that fans may not know about?
Terina Kalani: One interesting fact about me is that I am an avid collector of vintage soccer jerseys. I have a wide collection from different eras and clubs, and it's a passion of mine outside of my playing career.
