Exclusive Interview with Alberta SC Midfielder Gretchen Decker

Interviewer: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, Gretchen. Let's start by discussing your current club, Alberta SC. What do you like most about playing for them?

Gretchen: Well, I have to say I appreciate that they pay their players well. That's really important to me in a club.

Interviewer: Your recent form has been exceptional, with five matches played and one assist. What do you attribute your success to?

Gretchen: I don't believe in luck or talent. I work hard every day to improve as a footballer. My only goal in life is to thrive in this sport, even if it means sacrificing everything else.

Interviewer: That's certainly a dedicated mindset. How do you maintain such a high level of practice ethics?

Gretchen: I do everything I can to get better, no matter what. I don't have time for friends or fun. It's all about work for me, all day every day.

Interviewer: It seems like you're very focused on your career. How do you prioritize your health and well-being?

Gretchen: My body is more of a ruin than a temple. I've partied all night before a cup final, played through injuries and concussions. I doubt I'll age well, but it's all worth it for the game.

Interviewer: You mentioned LEO as your favorite club to play against. Why is that?

Gretchen: I enjoy the challenge they bring to the field. It pushes me to be better.

Interviewer: And finally, can you tell us about your favorite formation and play style?

Gretchen: I prefer a 4-5-1 formation with a neutral play style. It allows me to stay versatile on the field.

Interviewer: Thank you for sharing with us, Gretchen. One last thing - can you share a random interesting fact about your life?

Gretchen: I used to be a competitive chess player before I focused solely on football. It taught me the importance of strategy and thinking ahead on the pitch.
