Exclusive Interview with BBZ F.C.'s Kenji Shimizu
Reporter: Kenji, thank you for taking the time to speak with us. Let's start by discussing your recent exceptional form, despite not having played any matches this season. How do you stay mentally prepared and maintain such high levels of performance?
Kenji Shimizu: Thank you for having me. I believe staying mentally prepared is just as important as physical training. I focus on visualizing myself on the field, analyzing opponents' strategies, and constantly working on improving my skills during training sessions.
Reporter: Your practice ethics have been described as balanced, neither the hardest worker nor the worst. How do you maintain this approach while still meeting the club's expectations?
Kenji Shimizu: I believe in putting in the necessary work without overexerting myself. It's important to enjoy what you do and have fun while still performing at a high level. As long as I meet the expectations of the club, I see no reason to push myself beyond that.
Reporter: It's impressive that you have not conceded any goals this season. What do you attribute this success to?
Kenji Shimizu: I have a great team around me that supports and communicates effectively. Our defensive strategy and teamwork have been key in keeping a clean sheet so far this season.
Reporter: Finally, Kenji, we hear that you have a special fondness for playing against RAI. Can you share why that is?
Kenji Shimizu: Playing against RAI always brings out the best in me. The rivalry and competition push me to perform at my peak, and the atmosphere on the field is always electrifying. It's a match I always look forward to.
Reporter: Thank you for your time, Kenji. Best of luck in the rest of the season.
Kenji Shimizu: Thank you. It was a pleasure speaking with you. Oh, and did you know I am a certified sushi chef in my spare time? Just a fun fact about my life outside of football.
