Exclusive Interview with Lagos Sunshine FC Defender Gertrude Ackerman

Reporter: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, Gertrude. Let's start with your current club, Lagos Sunshine FC. What do you like the most about playing for them?

Gertrude: I really appreciate how Lagos Sunshine FC invests a lot in player development. As a young player, it's crucial for me to have the support and resources to grow and improve my skills.

Reporter: Your recent form has been average, with 12 matches played this season. How do you assess your performance so far?

Gertrude: I know I still have a lot to learn and improve on, but I'm working hard to become a better defender. I may not be the strongest or most skilled player on the pitch, but I always give my best effort.

Reporter: Speaking of effort, how would you describe your practice ethics?

Gertrude: I'm not the hardest worker, but I also don't slack off. I put in the work required of me and always try to meet the expectations of my club. And of course, I never turn down an opportunity to have some fun with my teammates.

Reporter: That's great to hear. How do you maintain your health as a professional football player?

Gertrude: I have to admit, I wasn't the most health-conscious player when I first started out. But as I gain more experience, I'm starting to adopt healthier habits, like eating less fast food and following a keto diet to prolong my career.

Reporter: Do you have a favorite club to play against?

Gertrude: Definitely IDF. The matches against them are always intense and challenging, which helps me improve as a player.

Reporter: Lastly, do you have a favorite formation and play style?

Gertrude: I prefer a 4-4-2 formation and a neutral play style. I like to adapt to the situation on the pitch and play whatever role is needed to help my team.

Reporter: Thank you for sharing your insights, Gertrude. Before we wrap up, can you share a random interesting fact about your life?

Gertrude: Sure! Most people don't know that I used to play basketball before I switched to football. It's helped me develop my agility and footwork on the pitch.

Reporter: That's fascinating! Thank you for your time, Gertrude, and best of luck with the rest of the season at Lagos Sunshine FC.
