Exclusive Interview with Lagos Sunshine FC Midfielder Leiland Kini
Interviewer: Leiland, thank you for taking the time to talk to us today. Let's start off by discussing your current form this season. You've been exceptional on the pitch, but we haven't seen you find the back of the net yet. Any particular reason for that?
Leiland Kini: Thank you for having me. It's true that I haven't scored any goals this season, but I'm more focused on my role in the team as a midfielder. Assisting my teammates and controlling the flow of the game is where I excel.
Interviewer: Your favorite club to play against is GIZ. What makes those matches so special for you?
Leiland Kini: GIZ always brings out the best in me. The competition is fierce, and I thrive in that kind of environment. Plus, there's a bit of a rivalry between our clubs that adds to the excitement of the match.
Interviewer: As an experienced player, how have you adjusted your training and lifestyle to prolong your career?
Leiland Kini: As I've gotten older, I've realized the importance of taking care of my body. I've started eating healthier, focusing on a keto diet to maintain my energy levels. I've also been incorporating more recovery sessions into my routine to prevent injuries and stay in top form.
Interviewer: You've been described as not the most health-conscious player earlier in your career. How have you managed to make these changes?
Leiland Kini: It was a gradual process, but I knew that I needed to make changes to continue playing at a high level. With the support of my team and coaching staff, I've been able to make healthier choices both on and off the pitch.
Interviewer: Lastly, can you share a random interesting fact about your life outside of football?
Leiland Kini: One thing people might not know about me is that I'm an avid painter. I love expressing myself through art and find it to be a great way to relax and unwind after a tough match.
Interviewer: That's fascinating! Thank you for sharing that with us, Leiland. We wish you all the best for the rest of the season.
Leiland Kini: Thank you, I appreciate it.
