Exclusive Interview with Lagos Sunshine FC Midfielder Makoto Shimabukuro

Interviewer: Makoto, thank you for taking the time to chat with us today. Let's start off by addressing the recent injury that has sidelined you. How are you feeling and when can we expect to see you back on the pitch?

Makoto: Thank you for having me. I'm feeling better each day and I'm hoping to make a comeback in the next few weeks. It's been tough watching from the sidelines, but I'm working hard to get back to full fitness.

Interviewer: Your recent form hasn't been great, with only 3 goals and 5 assists this season. What do you attribute this dip in performance to?

Makoto: I think it's just been a rough patch for me. Every player goes through ups and downs, and I've been working on my game to bounce back stronger. I know I can do better and I'm determined to prove that on the pitch.

Interviewer: Some critics have labeled you as lazy due to your practice ethics. How do you respond to those criticisms?

Makoto: I understand where they're coming from, but I believe that everyone has their own way of working. I may not be the hardest worker in training, but I always give my all during matches. Football is important to me, but so is enjoying life and spending time with my loved ones.

Interviewer: It's clear that you have a strong bond with your family. Can you share a random interesting fact about your life outside of football?

Makoto: Well, not many people know this, but I actually come from a family of musicians. My parents are both talented musicians and growing up, I was surrounded by music. It's a big part of who I am and it's something that I cherish deeply.

Interviewer: Thank you for sharing that with us, Makoto. Lastly, what are your goals for the rest of the season and beyond?

Makoto: My main goal is to help Lagos Sunshine FC secure a top spot in the league and hopefully win some silverware. Beyond that, I want to continue growing as a player and hopefully make a name for myself on the international stage. I'm excited for what the future holds.

Interviewer: We wish you all the best in your recovery and future endeavors, Makoto. Thank you for your time.

Makoto: Thank you for having me. It's been a pleasure.
