Exclusive Interview with Melbourne United's Defender Leng Wong

Reporter: Leng, thank you for taking the time to speak with us. Let's start with your recent injury. How are you feeling and when can we expect to see you back on the pitch?

Leng Wong: Thanks for having me. The injury has been frustrating, but I'm working hard to get back as soon as possible. Hopefully, I'll be back in action within the next few weeks.

Reporter: You have a reputation for not putting in extra work during practice. How do you respond to those who call you lazy?

Leng Wong: Well, I don't think I'm lazy. I just have a wide range of interests outside of football. It's important to me to have a balance between my career, family, and personal life. I believe I can still perform at a high level without needing to constantly push myself in training.

Reporter: Speaking of performance, you have yet to concede a goal this season. What do you attribute that success to?

Leng Wong: It's a team effort. I have great teammates who support me on the field, and our defensive organization has been solid. I also enjoy the challenge of defending and take pride in keeping clean sheets.

Reporter: It's been said that you have a laid-back approach to your health and fitness. How do you plan to maintain your level of play as you get older?

Leng Wong: I know my body isn't as pristine as it used to be, but I try to take care of myself as best as I can. I listen to my physiotherapists and doctors, and I make sure to rest and recover properly. Ultimately, I believe that experience and intelligence can make up for physical decline.

Reporter: Lastly, can you tell us about your favorite club to play against and why?

Leng Wong: Definitely FLC. They always bring out the best in me, and the rivalry between our clubs adds an extra level of intensity to the matches. Plus, their style of play gives me the opportunity to showcase my defensive skills.

Reporter: Thank you for your time, Leng. We wish you a speedy recovery and continued success on the pitch.

Leng Wong: My pleasure. Thank you.
