Exclusive Interview with Olympians Cariocas' Veteran Defender Velia Orlando

Reporter: Velia, at 37 years old, you are still playing at a top level. What's your secret to longevity in the game?
Velia: Well, I think it's a combination of good genes and a love for the sport. I've always taken care of myself, but I also know how to have a good time off the pitch. Balance is key.
Reporter: You have been in exceptional form this season, what's been the key to your success on the field?
Velia: I think it's all about experience and knowing how to read the game. I may not be the fastest or the strongest, but I have a good footballing brain and that goes a long way.
Reporter: Your favorite club to play against is LUC, why is that?
Velia: They always bring out the best in me. The rivalry is intense and the games are always competitive. Plus, their fans make for a great atmosphere.
Reporter: You seem to prefer a defensive play style, why is that?
Velia: I've always been a defender at heart. I take pride in shutting down the opposition and keeping a clean sheet. It's not always glamorous, but it's effective.
Reporter: Lastly, can you share a random interesting fact about your life outside of football?
Velia: Well, I have a passion for cooking. I love experimenting in the kitchen and trying out new recipes. It's a good way to unwind after a tough match.
Reporter: Thank you for your time, Velia. Good luck for the rest of the season with Olympians Cariocas.
Velia: Thank you. I'll do my best to help the team climb up the rankings.
