Exclusive Interview with Raizes Sao Paulo Midfielder Daphne Damian

Reporter: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, Daphne. Let's start off by talking about your current club, Raizes Sao Paulo. How has the season been going for you so far?

Daphne Damian: Well, it's been a bit frustrating to be honest. I haven't had the chance to play in any matches this season, which has been tough. But I've been trying to stay ready and support my teammates in any way I can.

Reporter: Your practice ethics have been described as putting in the work, but not going above and beyond. How do you respond to that?

Daphne Damian: I think that's a fair assessment. I believe in doing what is necessary to meet the expectations of the club, but I also know the importance of balance and having some fun along the way.

Reporter: You have been known to party all night before big matches and push through injuries. How do you manage to maintain your level of play despite these challenges?

Daphne Damian: I guess you could say I have a high pain tolerance and a strong will to compete. I know my body may not age well, but for now, I am focused on giving my best for the team.

Reporter: Your favorite club to play against is REV. Can you tell us why that is?

Daphne Damian: REV always brings out the best in me. The rivalry between our clubs is intense, and I thrive in that competitive atmosphere.

Reporter: Lastly, can you share a random interesting fact about your life outside of football?

Daphne Damian: Well, not many people know this, but I am actually an avid chess player. I find the strategic thinking involved in the game to be quite similar to that of football.

Reporter: Thank you for sharing that with us, Daphne. We wish you the best of luck for the rest of the season with Raizes Sao Paulo.

Daphne Damian: Thank you, it was my pleasure.
