Exclusive Interview with Rising Star Kainalu Manibusan

Reporter: Kainalu, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Let's start off by talking about your recent form on the field. How do you feel about your performance so far this season?

Kainalu: It's been a bit of a tough start for me, to be honest. I haven't been able to contribute as much as I would have liked, and I know I need to step up my game. But I'm working hard to get back to my best and help the team succeed.

Reporter: You mentioned that you're currently injured. Can you tell us a bit more about the injury and how it's affecting you?

Kainalu: Yeah, unfortunately I picked up a knock in our last game and I've been sidelined for a few weeks. It's frustrating, but injuries are part of the game and I'm doing everything I can to recover quickly and get back on the pitch.

Reporter: Despite the injury, you've managed to rack up an assist this season. Can you walk us through that play and how it felt to help your team in that moment?

Kainalu: It was a great feeling to contribute to the team, even if it was just with an assist. I saw my teammate making a run and I managed to pick out a perfect pass to set up the goal. It felt amazing to play a part in our success and I hope to do more of that once I'm back in action.

Reporter: Finally, can you share with us a fun fact about yourself that fans might not know?

Kainalu: Well, I actually used to play the ukulele growing up in Hawaii. It's a big part of our culture and I still like to strum a few chords in my free time. It helps me relax and unwind, especially during the busy season.

Reporter: That's a great insight into your off-field hobbies, Kainalu. Thank you for your time and we wish you a speedy recovery so you can get back to doing what you do best on the field.

Kainalu: Thank you for having me, it's been a pleasure. Can't wait to get back out there and make a difference for my team.
