Exclusive Interview with Rotorua Savages' Deniz Berk

Reporter: Deniz, thank you for taking the time to speak with us. Your recent form has been exceptional, but you haven't played a match this season. Can you tell us why?
Deniz Berk: It's been a frustrating start to the season for me, to be honest. I've been dealing with a nagging injury that just doesn't seem to want to go away. But I'm working hard to get back on the pitch as soon as possible.
Reporter: Your practice ethics have been praised by your coach. How do you balance your serious approach to training with letting loose once in a while?
Deniz Berk: It's all about finding the right balance. When I'm on the pitch, I give it my all and focus on improving every day. But off the pitch, I know how to have a good time and relax with my teammates. It's important to have that balance in order to stay mentally and physically sharp.
Reporter: You have a reputation for playing through injuries and concussions. How do you manage to keep going despite the physical toll it takes on your body?
Deniz Berk: I've always been a fighter, both on and off the pitch. I know my body well and I know what it takes to push through the pain. It's not always easy, but I love this game and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep playing.
Reporter: Your favorite club to play against is FLC. Can you tell us why that is?
Deniz Berk: FLC always brings out the best in me. The matches against them are always intense and competitive, and I thrive in that kind of environment. It's always a battle when we face off against them, and I love the challenge.
Reporter: One last question, Deniz. Can you share a random interesting fact about your life that fans may not know?
Deniz Berk: Well, I actually have a twin brother who also plays professional football. We grew up playing together and competing against each other, so it's always been a big part of my life. People are always surprised when they find out we're twins, but it's definitely made me the player I am today.
Reporter: Thank you for sharing that, Deniz. We wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you back on the pitch soon.
