Exclusive Interview with Rotorua Savages' Goalkeeper Nestor Theodore

Reporter: Nestor, thank you for taking the time to sit down with us today. Despite not having played any matches this season, your recent form has been exceptional. How have you managed to stay at the top of your game without getting any game time?
Nestor Theodore: Thank you for having me. It's all about staying focused and maintaining a high level of training. I believe that consistency is key, and I make sure to push myself in every practice session to be ready whenever my team needs me.
Reporter: Your practice ethics have been praised by your coach. How do you balance your serious approach to training with letting loose once in a while?
Nestor Theodore: It's important to find that balance. I take my career very seriously, but I also understand the importance of enjoying life outside of football. Whether it's spending time with friends or pursuing other hobbies, I make sure to recharge and come back to training with a fresh mindset.
Reporter: You have not conceded any goals this season. What do you attribute your success to?
Nestor Theodore: It's a team effort. My defenders have been outstanding in front of me, and we have a strong understanding on the pitch. Communication is key, and we work together to keep the opposition at bay.
Reporter: What is your favorite club to play against?
Nestor Theodore: Definitely SYC. The matches against them are always intense and competitive, and I thrive in those high-pressure situations.
Reporter: Lastly, can you tell us a random interesting fact about your life outside of football?
Nestor Theodore: I am actually an avid chess player. I find that the strategic thinking required in chess helps me analyze situations on the pitch and make better decisions as a goalkeeper.
Reporter: Thank you, Nestor, for your time and insights. We look forward to seeing you in action on the pitch soon.
Nestor Theodore: Thank you for having me. I can't wait to get back out there and continue to help my team achieve success.
