Exclusive Interview with Rotorua Savages Midfielder Anja Witt

Reporter: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, Anja. Let's start off by talking about your current injury. Can you give us an update on your condition?

Anja Witt: Well, I picked up a knock in training a few weeks ago and unfortunately it's taking longer to heal than expected. But I'm doing everything I can to get back on the pitch as soon as possible.

Reporter: It's been a tough season for you so far, with zero matches played. How are you feeling about your contribution to the team?

Anja Witt: It's definitely frustrating to be sidelined, but I have faith in my teammates to carry the load. I'm just focused on getting back to full fitness and helping the team in any way I can.

Reporter: Your practice ethics have been described as average, with a tendency to have fun but still meet expectations. How do you balance enjoying the game with putting in the work?

Anja Witt: Football is my passion, so I always give my best when I'm on the pitch. But I also believe it's important to have fun and enjoy the game. As long as I can perform when it matters, I don't see a problem with that approach.

Reporter: You've had a colorful career, with a reputation for partying and playing through injuries. How do you maintain your health and fitness despite these challenges?

Anja Witt: I've been lucky to have a body that can withstand a lot. But as I get older, I know I need to start taking better care of myself. I'm working with the club's medical staff to improve my conditioning and prevent further injuries.

Reporter: Finally, what is your favorite memory in football so far?

Anja Witt: Definitely playing against GAU. They always bring out the best in me and it's a matchup I look forward to every season. Plus, they play the kind of attacking football that I love to be a part of.

Reporter: Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Anja. We wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you back on the pitch soon.
