Exclusive Interview with Rotorua Savages Midfielder Melis Balaban

Reporter: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today, Melis. Let's start with your recent form on the pitch - you've been exceptional in the two matches you've played this season. What do you attribute this success to?
Melis: Thank you for having me. I think my experience and skill have played a big role in my recent performances. I may not be the most health-conscious player out there, but I've been making an effort to adopt healthier habits as I get older. It's definitely paying off.
Reporter: You've been known for your unique practice ethics, with some calling you lazy. How do you respond to those criticisms?
Melis: I understand where the criticism comes from, but I believe in finding a balance between work and play. Football is important to me, but so is spending time with my family and pursuing other interests. I may not put in extra work on the pitch, but I still give it my all during matches.
Reporter: Your favorite club to play against is OIL. Is there a particular reason for this preference?
Melis: I always enjoy the challenge of playing against OIL. They have a strong team and it pushes me to perform at my best. Plus, the rivalry between our clubs adds an extra level of excitement to the matches.
Reporter: Can you tell us about your favorite formation and play style?
Melis: I prefer the 4-5-1 formation because it allows me to control the midfield and support both the defense and attack. As for play style, I like to keep things neutral and adapt to the situation on the pitch.
Reporter: With the season well underway, what are your goals and aspirations for the rest of the year?
Melis: My main goal is to help lead Rotorua Savages to a higher ranking in the league. I'm confident that with our team's talent and efforts, we can climb up the table and secure a better position by the end of the season.
Reporter: And finally, can you share a random interesting fact about your life outside of football?
Melis: One interesting fact about me is that I have a passion for cooking. I love experimenting with new recipes and creating delicious meals for my family and friends. It's a great way for me to relax and unwind off the pitch.
