Exclusive Interview with San Lorenzo Bulls Defender Loy Wagner
Reporter: Loy, thank you for taking the time to sit down with us for this exclusive interview. Let's dive right in - how do you feel about the team's current ranking in the league?
Loy Wagner: It's always tough when we're not at the top, but I believe we have what it takes to climb up the ladder. We just need to work on our consistency and tighten up our defense.
Reporter: Speaking of defense, you have been exceptional on the field this season, only conceding 9 goals in 12 matches. What do you attribute your success to?
Loy Wagner: I think it comes down to communication and teamwork. We have a solid backline that works together seamlessly, and that makes my job a lot easier. Also, our coach has been drilling us on defensive strategies, and it's paying off.
Reporter: You're known for your attacking play style, even as a defender. How do you manage to balance your responsibilities on both ends of the field?
Loy Wagner: It's all about timing and knowing when to push forward and when to hold back. I like to contribute to the team's attacking play whenever I can, but I also know when to prioritize defense. It's all about finding the right balance.
Reporter: We've heard that you're not the type of player who puts in extra work during practice. How do you manage to maintain your exceptional form without the extra effort?
Loy Wagner: Football is important to me, but so is having fun and spending time with my family. I believe in working smart, not just hard. I make sure to take care of myself off the field, and that translates into my performance on the field.
Reporter: Lastly, what's one interesting fact about your life that fans might not know about?
Loy Wagner: Well, I actually have a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It's something I've been practicing for years, and it helps keep me disciplined and focused both on and off the field.
Reporter: That's impressive! Thank you for sharing that with us, Loy. We wish you and the San Lorenzo Bulls the best of luck for the rest of the season.
Loy Wagner: Thank you, it was my pleasure.
