Exclusive Interview with Valparaiso Mariners AC Defender Leilanie Kahana
Reporter: Leilanie, thank you for taking the time to speak with us. Let's start off by talking about your favorite club to play against, which is HOS. What is it about facing them that gets you pumped up?
Leilanie: HOS always brings out the best in me. They have a strong history of success and I thrive on the challenge of facing off against top competition. Plus, their fans are always passionate, which really motivates me to give my all on the pitch.
Reporter: You have yet to play any matches this season, but your recent form has been exceptional. How do you stay in top shape and ready to perform at a moment's notice?
Leilanie: I have an intense practice ethic. I am constantly working on my skills and fitness, pushing myself to the limit every day. I believe that to succeed as a footballer, you have to be willing to sacrifice everything else. No friends, no fun. Just work, work, work.
Reporter: Your healthiness has been a concern, with reports of partying before important matches and playing through injuries. Do you have any regrets about how you've treated your body?
Leilanie: My body is a tool for my success in football. I will do whatever it takes to win, even if it means risking my health. I have no regrets about how I've treated my body because my only goal in life is to thrive as a footballer.
Reporter: That's certainly a dedicated mindset. Can you share a random interesting fact about your life outside of football?
Leilanie: Well, despite my intense focus on my career, I actually have a secret passion for cooking. I find it to be a relaxing way to unwind after a tough training session. Plus, it's a great way to fuel my body for peak performance on the pitch.
Reporter: Thank you for sharing that with us, Leilanie. We wish you all the best in your upcoming matches with Valparaiso Mariners AC.
Leilanie: Thank you for having me. I can't wait to get back out there and show everyone what I'm capable of.
