Exclusive Interview with Valparaiso Mariners AC Defender Petr Mateja

Reporter: Hello Petr, thank you for taking the time to speak with us. Let's start with your current club, Valparaiso Mariners AC. How do you feel about your current team ranking of 7th out of 10 teams?

Petr: I believe we can do better. As a defender, my goal is to keep as many clean sheets as possible and help the team climb up the standings.

Reporter: Your practice ethics are known to be extremely dedicated. How do you maintain such a high level of commitment to your training?

Petr: Football is my life. I am willing to sacrifice everything for my career. Whether it's turning down late nights or new challenges, I always put my body and mind first.

Reporter: You have played against many clubs in your career. Is there a particular club that stands out as your favorite to play against?

Petr: GRR is always a tough opponent, but I enjoy the challenge they bring to the game.

Reporter: Your favorite formation is 3-5-2 and your play style is attacking. How do you think this benefits your team's performance on the field?

Petr: I believe this formation allows us to control the game and create more scoring opportunities. As a defender, I also enjoy contributing to the attack when I can.

Reporter: Finally, can you share a random interesting fact about your life outside of football?

Petr: Despite my intense focus on my career, I have a passion for cooking and enjoy trying out new recipes in my free time.
