Exclusive Interview with Valparaiso Mariners AC Defender Xian Chang
Reporter: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, Xian. Let's start with your recent form with the Valparaiso Mariners AC. You've been exceptional on the field this season. What do you attribute your success to?
Xian Chang: Thank you for having me. I think my success this season is a result of the hard work I put in during training and my dedication to the team. I also believe that having a strong defense and a solid team behind me has played a big role in my performance.
Reporter: You have a reputation for being a bit of a party animal off the field. How do you manage to balance your social life with your professional responsibilities?
Xian Chang: (laughs) Well, I do enjoy a good party, but I always make sure to prioritize my professional responsibilities. I know when to have fun and when to focus on my game. It's all about finding the right balance.
Reporter: You've had your fair share of injuries and concussions throughout your career. How do you manage to stay healthy and continue performing at such a high level?
Xian Chang: I have definitely had my fair share of injuries, but I always make sure to listen to my body and take care of myself. I have a great team of medical professionals and trainers who help me stay in top shape. And, of course, a positive mindset goes a long way.
Reporter: Lastly, do you have any pre-game rituals or superstitions that you follow before a match?
Xian Chang: I'm not really superstitious, but I do have a routine that I follow before every match. I like to listen to music, visualize the game, and do some light stretching to get myself mentally and physically prepared. It helps me get in the right mindset to perform on the field.
Reporter: Thank you for your time, Xian. Best of luck in the rest of the season with the Valparaiso Mariners AC.
Xian Chang: Thank you, it was a pleasure speaking with you.
