Exclusive Interview with Valparaiso Mariners AC Forward Herbert Shafer

Reporter: Herbert, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. You've been in exceptional form lately, scoring five goals in just three matches. What do you attribute your recent success to?

Herbert Shafer: Thank you for having me. I think it's just a combination of hard work on the pitch and enjoying the game. I believe in striking a balance between dedication to my craft and enjoying life off the field.

Reporter: Your practice ethics have been a topic of discussion among fans and pundits. Some call you lazy, while others say you just have a wide range of interests. How do you respond to these criticisms?

Herbert Shafer: I think everyone has their own approach to the game. I may not be the first one on the training ground and the last one to leave, but I make sure to give it my all during matches. Football is important to me, but so is spending time with my family and having fun. I believe in finding a balance that works for me.

Reporter: Your favorite club to play against is SAV. What is it about facing them that brings out the best in your game?

Herbert Shafer: SAV always brings out a competitive edge in me. The matches against them are intense and I thrive in that kind of environment. It's always a challenge, but I enjoy it.

Reporter: Lastly, can you share a random interesting fact about your life with our readers?

Herbert Shafer: Well, one thing not many people know about me is that I have a passion for cooking. I love experimenting with different recipes and trying out new dishes in my free time. It's a great way for me to relax and unwind outside of football.

Reporter: Thank you for sharing that with us, Herbert. Best of luck for the rest of the season with Valparaiso Mariners AC.

Herbert Shafer: Thank you, it was my pleasure.
