Exclusive Interview with Valparaiso Mariners AC Goalkeeper Shinae Byun
Reporter: Shinae Byun, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Let's start with your recent form on the field. You have been exceptional this season, only conceding 6 goals in 10 matches. What do you attribute this success to?
Shinae Byun: Thank you for having me. I think my success this season can be attributed to my focus and determination. I always strive to be the best goalkeeper I can be and I have been working hard to improve my skills and decision-making on the field.
Reporter: It's impressive to see your dedication to your craft. Speaking of dedication, how would you describe your practice ethics?
Shinae Byun: I would say that I am not the hardest worker, but I am also not the worst. I put in the work necessary to meet the expectations of the club, but I also know how to have fun and enjoy myself when I am not training or playing.
Reporter: That's a healthy balance to have. On the topic of health, it seems like you have powered through injuries and concussions. How do you manage to stay fit and ready to play?
Shinae Byun: I have definitely had my fair share of injuries, but I always try to take care of my body and listen to my coaches and medical staff. I know that my body is not a temple, but I do my best to stay in shape and be ready to perform when called upon.
Reporter: It's great to hear that you are taking care of yourself. Before we wrap up, can you tell us a random interesting fact about your life off the field?
Shinae Byun: Well, one interesting fact about me is that I am a talented musician. I love to play the piano and I even write my own music in my spare time. It's a great way for me to relax and unwind away from the football pitch.
Reporter: That's incredible! Thank you for sharing that with us. We wish you continued success on and off the field, Shinae Byun.
Shinae Byun: Thank you, it was a pleasure speaking with you.
