Exclusive Interview with Valparaiso Mariners AC Midfielder Helene Muse

Helene: Thank you for having me. I think my recent form can be attributed to a combination of hard work and experience. While I may not be the most dedicated when it comes to training, I believe my years in the game have taught me how to make the most of my talents on the field.
Reporter: Speaking of training, it's been said that you're not known for putting in the extra work. How do you respond to critics who might call you lazy?
Helene: I understand where they're coming from, but I believe that football is not just about physical training. It's also about mental preparation and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I enjoy spending time with my family and pursuing other interests outside of football, and I believe that these experiences ultimately make me a better player on the pitch.
Reporter: That's an interesting perspective. It's great to see that you're taking steps to adopt healthier habits as you progress in your career. How has your approach to health and fitness changed over the years?
Helene: As a young player, I definitely wasn't the most health-conscious on the pitch. But as I've gotten older, I've realized the importance of taking care of my body in order to prolong my career. I've been trying to cut back on fast food and incorporate more keto-friendly options into my diet. It's a work in progress, but I'm committed to making those changes.
Reporter: Let's switch gears and talk about your favorite club to play against. Why do you enjoy facing off against GRR?
Helene: GRR has always been a tough opponent, and I enjoy the challenge of competing against them. Their style of play pushes me to elevate my own game, and it's always a thrilling matchup whenever we face off.
Reporter: Lastly, can you tell us an interesting fact about your life that fans might not know?
Helene: One random fact about me is that I have a passion for painting. In my free time, I enjoy expressing myself through art and exploring different mediums. It's a creative outlet that allows me to unwind and recharge outside of football.
