Godfrey Shafer: The Goalkeeper who Lives for Football

Reporter: Good afternoon Godfrey, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Let's start off by talking about your current club, Himachal Avalanche. What is it about the team that makes you thrive as a footballer?

Godfrey Shafer: Thank you for having me. Himachal Avalanche is a club that really invests in team chemistry and culture, which is something I value a lot. It helps us perform better on the pitch and creates a strong sense of unity among the players.

Reporter: You have had an exceptional season so far, with only 7 goals conceded in 4 matches. What do you attribute this success to?

Godfrey Shafer: I have been putting in a lot of work on and off the pitch. My practice ethics have always been extremely high, and now as a mature player, I am focusing more on adopting healthier habits to prolong my career. It's all about dedication and constantly striving to improve.

Reporter: It's clear that football is your passion, but do you have any hobbies or interests outside of the sport?

Godfrey Shafer: (laughs) Honestly, football is my life. I don't have much time for anything else. But one interesting fact about me is that I used to not be very health-conscious on the pitch when I was younger, but now I am making efforts to eat better and take care of my body.

Reporter: That's great to hear. Lastly, is there a particular team or formation that you enjoy playing against the most?

Godfrey Shafer: I always relish the opportunity to play against COB, they bring out the best in me. And my favorite formation is definitely the classic 4-4-2, with a focus on defending. It's where I feel most comfortable and confident.

Reporter: Well, it's been a pleasure speaking with you, Godfrey. Best of luck for the rest of the season with Himachal Avalanche.

Godfrey Shafer: Thank you, I appreciate it. I will continue to work hard and give my all for the team.
