Gustav Sandstrom: The Defender Who Thrives on Hard Work



In this exclusive interview with Gustav Sandstrom, a 21-year-old professional football (soccer) player currently playing for Luchadores in the INT league, we get to hear more about his exceptional skill, experience, practice ethics and recent form.

When asked what he likes the most in clubs in general, Sandstrom says he likes clubs who put on a good show for the fans. “The atmosphere is always electric,” he comments.

Matches-wise, Gustav has played 0 this season, but his practice ethics are extreme and he will do whatever he can to get better, even if that means scarifying everything else around. “No friends, no fun,” he says. “It’s just work all day every day.”

In terms of his healthiness, Gustav has done it all – from partying all night before a cup final to powering through injuries and concussions. He jokes that, “If for some their body is a temple, for me my body is more of a ruin.”

Finally, when asked about his favorite club to play against, formation, and play style, he replied with INT, 4-4-2, and defending, respectively. This season, Gustav has conceded 0 goals.

An interesting fact about his life is that he often goes on week-long hiking trips in his free time to explore and appreciate the beauty of nature.
