Interview with Cordoba Gauchos Forward Mija Roa

Reporter: Good afternoon, Mija. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Let's start off by discussing your recent injury. Can you give us an update on your condition and when we can expect to see you back on the field?

Mija: Unfortunately, I picked up a hamstring injury in our last match and it's been a frustrating setback for me. The medical team has been working tirelessly to get me back to full fitness, but it's still uncertain when I'll be able to return to action. I'm doing everything I can to recover as quickly as possible.

Reporter: That's tough to hear, but we have no doubt that you'll come back stronger. Speaking of your playing style, you have always been known for your exceptional defensive abilities. Can you tell us why you prefer the defending role on the field?

Mija: Defending has always been a passion of mine. I take pride in my ability to read the game, anticipate the opponent's moves, and make crucial tackles. It's a crucial part of the game and I enjoy the challenge of shutting down the opposition's attacking threats. Plus, a strong defense is the foundation for success in football.

Reporter: Your work ethic and dedication to the sport are truly commendable. However, we've heard rumors about your intense focus on football at the expense of everything else in your life. Can you shed some light on this?

Mija: Football is my life. I have dedicated everything to this sport and I believe that sacrifices are necessary to achieve success. I do not have time for distractions like friends or fun activities. My only goal is to thrive as a footballer and I will do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Reporter: It's clear that your commitment to football is unwavering. Lastly, can you share a random interesting fact about your life that fans may not know about?

Mija: Well, despite my intense focus on football, I do have a soft spot for animals. I often volunteer at local shelters to help take care of abandoned pets. It's a way for me to relax and unwind from the pressures of the game. Plus, it's a nice way to give back to the community.

Reporter: That's a wonderful gesture, Mija. Thank you for sharing that with us. We wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you back on the field soon. Good luck with your rehabilitation process.

Mija: Thank you, I appreciate the support. I'll be back stronger than ever.
