Interview with Valparaiso Mariners AC Forward Daphne Walcott

Reporter: Daphne, you have been in exceptional form recently, but have yet to score a goal this season. How do you feel about that?
Daphne Walcott: Scoring goals is important, but my focus is always on the team's success. If I can contribute to our wins in other ways, then I am happy with that.
Reporter: Your practice ethics are known to be extremely intense. Can you tell us more about your dedication to the game?
Daphne Walcott: Football is my life. I will do everything I can to improve and help my team. Sacrifices have to be made, but it's all worth it in the end.
Reporter: You have faced injuries and played through them. How do you manage to push through the pain?
Daphne Walcott: It's all about mental toughness. I have a strong will to succeed and that drives me to overcome any obstacles that come my way.
Reporter: Your favorite club to play against is GAU. Why is that?
Daphne Walcott: GAU always brings out the best in me. The competition is fierce, and I thrive in those challenging matches.
Reporter: You have an interesting fact about your personal life. Care to share it with us?
Daphne Walcott: Well, not many people know this, but I used to be a competitive swimmer before I fell in love with football. Swimming taught me discipline and determination, which I carry over to the football field.
Reporter: Thank you for sharing that with us, Daphne. We wish you the best of luck in your upcoming matches.
Daphne Walcott: Thank you. I'll give it my all, as always.
