Melbourne United's Rising Star Izel Polen Talks Recent Success and Play Style

Interviewer: Congratulations on your recent exceptional form, Izel. How are you feeling about your performance so far this season?

Izel Polen: Thank you! I'm really happy with how things have been going. It's been a bit frustrating not getting the chance to play in any matches yet, but I'm just trying to stay ready for when my time comes.

Interviewer: Your practice ethics have been described as putting in the work, but not going above and beyond. How do you feel about that assessment?

Izel Polen: I think it's a fair assessment. I know I could probably work harder, but I also like to enjoy myself and have a good time. As long as I'm meeting the expectations of the club, I think it's all good.

Interviewer: Your healthiness has been a concern for some, with reports of partying before important matches and playing through injuries. How do you respond to those concerns?

Izel Polen: Yeah, I've definitely had my fair share of injuries and maybe partied a bit too much at times, but I feel like I've always been able to bounce back. I think as long as I'm performing on the pitch, that's what really matters.

Interviewer: It's interesting to hear about your favorite club to play against being LEO. Why is that?

Izel Polen: I just love the competition when we play against LEO. The matches are always intense and it brings out the best in me. Plus, I've had some great performances against them in the past.

Interviewer: Lastly, can you tell us a random interesting fact about your life outside of football?

Izel Polen: One thing that not many people know about me is that I'm actually a pretty good cook. I love experimenting in the kitchen and trying out new recipes. It's a nice way to relax and unwind after a tough match.

Interviewer: Thank you for sharing that with us, Izel. We wish you all the best for the rest of the season.

Izel Polen: Thank you, I appreciate it. I can't wait to get out on the pitch and show everyone what I can do.
