Name: Gretchen Schmidt - The Unconventional Defender

Interviewer: Gretchen, congratulations on Lagos Sunshine FC's current standing as the top team in the league. Despite not having played a single match this season, your team's defense has only conceded 4 goals. How do you explain this exceptional form?

Gretchen: Thank you! It's been a team effort for sure. Our coach has been working hard on our defensive tactics, and I think our communication on the field has been key. Even though I haven't played, I've been doing my part in training to stay sharp and support my teammates.

Interviewer: You're known for your unconventional approach to the game, both on and off the field. Can you tell us a bit about your practice ethics and how you manage to perform at such a high level despite your relaxed attitude towards training?

Gretchen: I definitely have a wide range of interests outside of football, and I believe that balance is important in life. I may not be the hardest worker on the training pitch, but when it comes to game time, I'm focused and ready to defend our goal with everything I've got.

Interviewer: It's been said that you have a carefree attitude towards your health, often partying before important matches and playing through injuries. How do you maintain your performance despite these risks?

Gretchen: I've always been a bit of a risk-taker, both on and off the field. I believe in living life to the fullest, and sometimes that means taking chances. Of course, I understand the importance of taking care of my body, but I also believe that a little fun and adventure can make me a better player.

Interviewer: Lastly, what's your favorite memory on the field so far?

Gretchen: There have been so many great moments, but I think my favorite memory was when we beat IDF in a thrilling match last season. They're a tough team to play against, but we were able to come out on top and it was an incredible feeling. I love the challenge of defending against strong opponents and coming out victorious.

Interviewer: Thank you for your time, Gretchen. Best of luck for the rest of the season!

Gretchen: Thank you! Let's go Sunshine FC!
