Rodger Shoemaker: Balancing Age and Ambition

Interviewer: Hello Rodger, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. You've had quite a long and successful career in professional football. Can you tell us how you've managed to maintain your exceptional skill even at the age of 44?

Rodger Shoemaker: Thank you for having me. Throughout my career, my only goal in life has been to thrive as a footballer. I have always been extremely dedicated and willing to sacrifice everything else for the game. As I've gotten older, I've realized the importance of taking care of my body and adopting healthier habits. It's a gradual process, but I believe it's helping me prolong my career.

Interviewer: That's great to hear, Rodger. Now, you mentioned that you enjoy clubs that invest in team chemistry and culture. Can you elaborate on what you find appealing about these aspects?

Rodger Shoemaker: Absolutely. Team chemistry and culture play a vital role in a club's success. When players have a strong bond and trust each other on and off the pitch, it enhances our performance. It creates a positive environment where everyone is working towards the same goal, and that unity is what I find most appealing.

Interviewer: Very well said. Now, let's talk about your current club, Cusco Conductores. How has this season been for you personally?

Rodger Shoemaker: This season has been quite average in terms of my recent form. I've played 13 matches so far, and while there's always room for improvement, I believe I've contributed to the team's performance. We currently stand 4th in the league, and my focus is on helping the team move up the rankings.

Interviewer: Fantastic. As a defender, you've only conceded seven goals this season. How do you manage to maintain such a solid defensive record?

Rodger Shoemaker: Defense is a collective effort, and it starts from the front. Our team plays an attacking style, and it's important for us defenders to stay organized and communicate effectively. I take pride in my defensive abilities and always give my best to prevent goals. However, credit must also go to the entire team for their commitment and discipline.

Interviewer: That's commendable. Now, as we wrap up, can you share a random interesting fact about your life outside of football?

Rodger Shoemaker: Well, something not many people know is that I used to be a bit reckless with my diet when I was younger. Fast food was my weakness. However, with age and experience, I realized the importance of a healthier lifestyle. I've been following a keto diet lately, which has significantly improved my overall fitness.

Interviewer: That's fascinating, Rodger. Thank you once again for your time, and we wish you continued success both on and off the pitch!
