Valparaiso Mariners AC Forward Kai Mai Thriving Despite Lackluster Training Regime

Interviewer: Kai, congratulations on your exceptional form this season. How have you been able to maintain such a high level of performance?

Kai Mai: Thank you. I think it comes down to just going out there and having fun. I love playing the game and that passion drives me to do my best on the field.

Interviewer: It's been noted that you're not the hardest worker in training. How do you balance having fun with maintaining your level of play?

Kai Mai: I think it's all about finding a balance. I may not be the hardest worker, but I still put in the work needed to perform well. And when it's game time, I give it my all.

Interviewer: You've been able to power through injuries and concussions. How do you manage to stay healthy despite your partying habits?

Kai Mai: (laughs) I guess I've been lucky so far. But I know I can't keep pushing my body like this forever. I'll have to start taking better care of myself in the future.

Interviewer: What's your favorite part about playing for Valparaiso Mariners AC?

Kai Mai: I really enjoy playing against BDB. They always bring out the best in me and the competition is intense. Plus, it's always a great feeling to come out on top against them.

Interviewer: Lastly, do you have any personal goals for the remainder of the season?

Kai Mai: I just want to keep scoring goals and assisting my teammates. As long as we keep moving up the rankings and improving as a team, I'll be happy. Oh, and one interesting fact about me is that I have a pet turtle named Sheldon who I bring to every game for good luck.
