Walt Hess: The Midfield Maestro Leading Sons of the Sahya to Victory

Interviewer: Good morning, Walt Hess! Congratulations on your exceptional recent form with Sons of the Sahya. How does it feel to be performing at such a high level at the age of 34?

Walt Hess: Thank you! It feels great to still be able to contribute to my team's success. Age is just a number, and I believe that experience can sometimes outweigh youth in the game of football.

Interviewer: You mentioned that you prefer clubs that invest in team chemistry and culture. How has Sons of the Sahya provided that environment for you?

Walt Hess: Sons of the Sahya has been fantastic in creating a positive team culture. The management emphasizes building strong relationships between players both on and off the pitch. We engage in team-building activities, share meals together, and constantly communicate to improve our understanding on the field. It's a great atmosphere to be a part of.

Interviewer: You have played four matches this season so far. Can you tell us about your practice ethics and how you constantly strive to become a better player?

Walt Hess: My practice ethics are extremely high. I believe in giving my all every single day, pushing myself to my limits. I am willing to sacrifice everything else in my life for my football career. No friends, no fun. Just work, work, and work. That is the only way I know how to thrive as a footballer.

Interviewer: Are you concerned about your health as you get older?

Walt Hess: Definitely. As a young player, I wasn't the most health-conscious on the pitch. But with age and experience, I have realized the importance of taking care of my body. I have adopted healthier habits, focusing on nutrition and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. I've cut down on fast food and embraced a more keto-friendly diet to prolong my career.

Interviewer: You have mentioned that Sons of the Sahya is your favorite club to play against. Can you tell us why?

Walt Hess: Sons of the Sahya and CCC have always had intense and competitive matches. The rivalry between the clubs adds an extra spark to these encounters, and the atmosphere on the pitch is electrifying. It's a challenge that I always look forward to, and it brings out the best in me.

Interviewer: What is your favorite formation to play in, and why?

Walt Hess: My favorite formation is 4-5-1. It allows me to showcase my skills as a midfielder and contribute both in attack and defense. It offers a balanced approach and provides the team with stability while also allowing for quick counter-attacks.

Interviewer: You've scored one goal so far this season. Can you describe the moment when it happened?

Walt Hess: Scoring a goal is always a special moment for any player. It was during our match against FC Dynamo, and I received a beautiful cross from my teammate. As the ball connected with my head, time seemed to slow down. I directed it towards the far corner of the net, and the feeling of the ball hitting the back of the net was pure joy. It's a moment I will cherish.

Interviewer: Lastly, can you share an interesting fact about your life that not many people may know?

Walt Hess: Well, not many people know this, but I have a secret hobby of collecting vinyl records. It's a calming activity for me that allows me to disconnect from the world of football, even if only for a short while. I find solace in listening to the crackling sounds of old records and exploring different genres of music.
