Young midfielder August Leonard talks about his future at Melbourne United

Interviewer: August, thank you for sitting down with us today. Let's start off by talking about your recent form. You've been exceptional on the pitch, despite not having played any matches this season. How do you maintain such high levels of performance without actually playing games?

August Leonard: Thank you for having me. I think it all comes down to my practice ethics. I may not be the hardest worker out there, but I always make sure to put in the work required to meet the expectations of the club. And of course, having fun on the pitch is important to me as well.

Interviewer: That's great to hear. It's important to strike a balance between hard work and enjoyment. Speaking of balance, you mentioned adopting healthier habits to prolong your career. Can you tell us more about that?

August Leonard: Definitely. As a young player, I wasn't the most health-conscious on the pitch. But with age and experience, I've realized the importance of taking care of my body. I've been cutting down on fast food and adopting a keto diet to ensure I can continue playing at a high level for years to come.

Interviewer: That's very smart of you. Now, let's switch gears a bit. You mentioned GAU as your favorite club to play against. What makes those matches so special for you?

August Leonard: I've always had great matches against GAU. The rivalry between our clubs brings out the best in me, and I always look forward to facing them on the pitch. It's a great challenge and motivates me to perform even better.

Interviewer: And finally, can you tell us a random interesting fact about your life off the pitch?

August Leonard: Well, I'm actually a huge fan of cooking! Whenever I'm not training or playing, you can find me experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. It's a great way for me to relax and unwind after a tough game.
